Hopefully this will be my last problem post with my new motor ... I have some fluid leaking and it appears to be coming from the back of the block. I thought it was just a little oil from the oil pan, but actually after looking down behind the block I see the firewall is soaked too and even the back off the block above the oil pan. I can't tell if it's oil or trans fluid, but I'm thinking its a leaking axle seal slinging around trans fluid. Anyone else have any ideas? What could cause oil to leak from anywhere on the back of the block?? Thanks.

pulled the trans today and the seal where the drivers side half shaft plugs in looked a little torn up. Is it also possible for the seal that connects the axle to the halfshaft to be leaking and causing problems? There is such a mess under the car with splattered fluid that I can't really tell where its coming from  .
