L bracket

Whats a reasonable price to pay a shop just to weld 1 L bracket onto an intercooler? I don't wanna get ripped off and it seems like $10 should be the max considering it's off the car and everything is marked off. I'm gonna call AMS tomorrow ... but I wanna get an idea first. Thanks.

oh the reason I ask ... shops I called want $35 at least because that's their "minimum charge" ... and I can't mig weld to aluminum with the way the welder is set up so I'm kinda screwed.

Just 1. The endtanks already had holes that were threaded .. I just want 1 bracket to support it a little extra. That's why I think $30+ is ridiculous.

I paid 20 bucks to get all 3 brackets welded up on my intercooler. It was probably a lot becuase i really didnt look around but I mean it had to be done.

$10 for probably two one inch beads sounds good. I've had whole intercoolers welded up for $60. It will take him longer to set it up and put on his hood.

Man, this is bullsh!t!!! I had my friend take my intercooler to AMS today with the bracket because he was going there anyways ... they wanted $35 for 1 minute of welding. I spent over $2000 at that FU(KING place too. This pisses me off so much .. I told him to not let them do it and I'm not buying anything else from there again. Do you guys know of a nationwide chain of places that could do something like this or know anyone in the chicago area that will do it? I called a few exhaust shops and they all said they can't weld to aluminum and I called a few welding shops and they all have minimum fees. I thought at least AMS could do something since I've spent so much money there and had plans to spend much more... but no :thumbdown .
