Ok here is my situation. I have a 92 FWD Talon with a 6 bolt. I have an RnR 3" downpipe and Thermal 3" catback. Blitz boost controller, and a few other small things here and there. I'm thinking of getting an EVO16G or something similar once I get all the supposrting mods. My goal is to have 300whp. So here is my question:

Which MAS would you guys run? I have a 2G mas but its not installed. I'm leaning towards a 3" GM with the translator. Or should I just stick with the stock one?

Also, should I run 550's or 660's?

If FWD I wouldn't recommend a quick spooling turbo like the 16G but its your car.

If you have the 2G MAS that is just fine for 300whp. I bought the GM MAF but ended up sticking with a hacked stocker.

I would run 660 injectors, better to do something right once. If your goals every change (99% of the time they do) then its good to not have to redo the fuel system.

*If you do want to go GM, PM me if you want the MAF sensor, got a brand new one.
 
I was thinking the same about the quick spooling turbo. Which would you recommend? A 50 Trim maybe..?? And yes Im interested, name a price shipped to Michigan. Also, is it a 3" sensor? Thats the one I want. And which 660's would you get? Thanks! :thumb:

What are your goals with the car? A 50trim is a solid turbo. There will be alot of opinions but I would recommend a TD06 20G or PTE 50trim, of course supporting mods first.

Injectors I would go with Denso 660cc injectors, good full spray.

If you are interested in the MAP sensor, yes its 3" but PM me lets keep that off the boards.

What about a FP Green? I've heard great things about that turbo. It's way overkill for only 300whp, but I agree 100% with what you say about goals changing. Do you think internals are required for that turbo? I really didnt want to do them unless I absolutely had to. Another thing is I really didnt want to go with an external wastegate. I guess because I dont know much about them. But I'm more than willing to learn. And yes, I will have all supporting mods before I upgrade turbos. I'm ordering a fuel pump and regulator from Slowboy in about a week or so, then injectors but not putting them on untill I have something to control them with.

Thats all up to you my man. Yes the FP Green is a very capable turbo. I don't have any first hand experience with it but I will say the PTE 50trim is available with an internal gate and is priced a bit better but by no means am I saying it is superior/inferior to the green.

External gate is a bit more consistent at keeping steady boost but if you have a big enough flapper then IG is fine too.

Thanks I'll definetally keep both companies in mind. With my o2 eliminating downpipe and exhaust I'm getting unbelievable creep on the 14b. I hit 21 or 22psi at WOT. I cant even floor my car without hitting fuel cut. So if I got a new turbo and it still creeped I think I'd be really upset. So I found that giving it between 65-75% throttle I can keep it around 12 psi. I run lean and my injectors are maxed out @ WOT. I like messing with my datalogging stuff, I cant wait to start tuning it all.
 
Also i would like to stay with a Mitsubishi exhaust side on the turbo, if that matters. I dont want to have to get a different downpipe or manifold, I plan on getting an EVO3 or a 2G ported exhaust manifold.
 
Yeah I'd honestly get the PTE 50trim w/Evo 3 OR 2G manifold. No new manifolds or customization needed, bolts right up there.
