Turbo Xs BoV sounds funny please help

Hey wazzup guy's?m well I have a problem with my newly installed TurboXS Type H BoV, It makes this flapping sound almost like on the "turkey call" Video... Is it because of the lack of washers??? well Thx for help in advanced (I searched... but could find anything... sorry)

Other way around, try taking out some washers/preload.. It is to stiff and "shutters" because the amount of pressure isnt enough for it to stay open..

hmmm everything is out, no washers, and it still shutters... what else can i do?

what kind of BOV is it? and how much psi are you runnin?

The flutter is compressor surge. I think the turbo xs bovs need to be lubricated. Try coating the piston with a thin layer of antisieze.

Lubricating this BOV is essential. I just use motor oil.

Dont use motor oil. It is to thin and wont last very long. Use nickel/lithium based antisieze. It will last much longer and is perfect for lubricating metal on metal moving parts. If the type H is anything like the RFL, its a brass piston in an aluminum housing (poor design...)

Thanks for the info-- yeah, it's a brass piston inside an aluminum cylinder. I tried white lithium grease once, but that didn't seem to work that great either.

right now at 15psi it makes nice sound, since I tryed it with WD40 befor I read this, but at like 10 it shutters like crazy, but everybody seems to like it, ecept me.. well i get used to it thx for the info
