DejonTool 2g Upgraded Sidemount

Anyone have this upgrade and how do you feel about it, is it enough for a high to mid 12 second car?

Spring time I am going to swap in the t-28...I thought that and the Dejon tool IC would go perfect together...my goal isnt 12's but mid to low 13's...this is on a GS-T as well

It's good enough for high 12's in my car. Last year I modified a stock SMIC core with custom 2.25" in/out. With a small 16G, modded IC, upper and lower IC pipes, open exhaust, free mods, race gas and boost at ~20psi it pulled 12.96@103. The design was virtually identical to Dejons. Infact, I ordered some aluminum tubes from him to weld to my IC core.

It's ok if you're on a tight budget (like I was/am) and aren't trying to run crazy boost on pump gas.

Of course an FMIC is better.

It is $459, minus $80 if you send them your stock ic core. So $379. And then you can get an aluminum shroud for $40 to make sure no air bypasses the ic.

I was planning on running this because I am currently waiting for the rest of my ic pipes to arrive. I will have the lower ic pipe, upper ic pipe, 2.5" Turbo Inlet pipe, and s pipe that goes to throttle body. I figured with this upgraded sidemoutn I can keep all those pipes and not have to replace them all over again. I am also looking at the FPBig28 or AGP T28 turbo.

Hey that's cool. I hadn't seen that one. Last year he was selling modified stock SMIC's. That SMIC is really big!

Ignore my above post about a modded SMIC, that's not what you were talking about. This is a completely different core.

If all you want to run is mid/low 13's that should flow/cool enough air.

I am shooting for low 13's on pump, high 12's on race gas.

but alot more work, how much better would the supra ic be or are they pretty equal?

not sure of any #'s on it, but I know a girl who is running one w/ a mutt 2 or 3 and has a best ET so far of 12.3

Been there and it went horribly wrong. 100 mph and i hit and bump and it was ripped right out. I thought this might be a better option. After I get my downpipe. I think I am going to place my order to Dejon for this IC. Thanks for the info everyone

Let me know how it performs compared to the supra sidemount.

Can't you guys easily see why that IC isn't worth the $? The inlet and outlet are just as pewney as the stock IC. The MKIV IC, which I have by the way, will blow the crap out of that thing. If your gonna spend that much you might as well get an Alamo sidemount. I would never pay $490 for that little toy
