pops out of reverse

I have a 2G TSi FWD and blew my diff, so I got a junkyard 97 GST tranny with supposedly 50k miles on it. After and my roommate installed the tranny I took it for a spin, and as I went to reverse into my garage(up a slithg incline) and let the clutch out all the way it popped right out of reverese. All other gears are fine though. Whats wrong with my tranny? I dont think we messed up the install cause we just got doing clutch and flywheel. Please help, thanks.

Sounds like a bent reverse shift fork to me. Reverse synchros and shift forks are easy to replace.

I had the same problem last week, Your nut is coming off your intermediate shaft, You need to take off the end case and tighten it as soon as possible, Its easy, just do it before it breaks everything.
