Idle Creep

After I run my car for a while and then come to a stop the engine slowly revs up to 1500 rpms and then goes back down to 1000 rpms. Does any one know why or what I can do to fix it??? I tried turning down the idle screw a little but that only helped for a short time.

Ya, I've been dealing with that same crap for a while. I've never been able to pinpoint the problem.

some people told me that it was spark plugs and fuel pump and all this stuff. I am gonna take my car in for a big tune up hopefully that will help out a bit.

take your throttle body apart and clean it. It may just be all dirty. This fixed the same problem for me
