ok today i did a 14b install on my 98 gst and im now finished the oil is still empty so is the coolant. i didnt have a banjo bolt to finish the oil feed and i didnt have a connector pipe to make my j pipe and LIC piping work. so it started rain and the MAF and the o2 were all hooked up and thatsall i disconnected as far as power goes. I go to put it in aux so i can roll my windows up and i have no power???/ i did a check on my battery and im showin 13 amps which is fine..but i have no power...is there some kind of safe setting on my car sayin if i have 0 oil 0 coolant and im not fully connected that it wont start????????/ but all power connections/fuses are made..can any onle help me out here???e

this is a very common thing that happens to alot of people. first of all...did you disconnect the battery during install? if not u most likely hit the altenator with a wrench/ratchet of some sort and it blew a major fuse. check all your major fuses UNDER THE HOOD. ive seen this happen to a couple people. they had wierd things happen though, like alarm kept going off, lights wouldnt shut off, couldnt put his top up or down (vert) no windows etc

im sure i hit the alt and no i didnt disconnect the battery i hope its only a fuse cause fuses major or not are always cheap and easy :)

ok guys this is really wierd i need some hlep...so i get into my car 3 hours later and my lights work, my avcr, my turbo timer but my radio and car is still dead but my battery has power???? as u read above my turbo install still isnt 100% complete but the only thing left to do is hook up the jpipe to intercooler piping and thats it...what inthe world can be causing this....at first i thought it was fuses but now some stuff works and other stuff doesnt when before nothing worked....can anyone help me?

i hear ya there but if a fuse is blown its blown...before nothing worked now some stuff works....i didnt hit any wires while doin this so what would cause some stuff to all of a sudden work than not work??? like when i got done today nothing worked... a hour later i go back out and some items are getting power but my windows are stuff arent....a blown fuse doesnt explain them not working but now they do all of a sudden...anyone?
