I was reading a recent issue (within the last month or 2) of Modified Mags 'Power Pages' and they did a section on a 1g TSi AWD.
For those of you who dont know, what power pages is, is the editors take cars and do 3 or 4 mods to them and dyno them and see what kind of gains they can get from each mod. They give cost, HP/TQ, and time breakdowns for all the mods. Its really a cool idea.
Anyways, one of the mods they did to the 1g was somethin called Fuel Cut Defencer. I wish I had the magazine with me so I could write who makes it.
They put it on and dynoed the car, with it, an intake, and exhaust I believe it got something like a 37-43 HP increase! Thats a lot! Best of all I seem to remember it only cost like 250-300 dollars. Thats good gains for very little money.
So I was wondering is the a legit thing? I assume since its in a magazine, and fairly well known one at that, that it is for real. Has anyone ever heard of this item before?
