Can I tap my EGT into O2 housing?

It'll read, but no guarentees of how accurate it will be... I've been told not accurate at all -- I've also been told it'll read 100deg C low.

I say screw it.... SFP manifolds have been run for years and havn't cracked with EGT Probes -- they basically say that to keep you from #@%#@%#@%#@%#@%ing if you screw up the tap and try to blame them.

I havn't gotten around to tapping mine yet, but I do plan on doing it -- but I am also going to have the fitting welded on so it cannot fall off.

my friend has his in his downpipe, I am assuming he is basically wasting his gauge (readings not right at all)...am I right? just making sure..Corey

You want the pre turbo temp, not the after turbo temps. If you install on the 02, you cannot determine whether or not your running lean or rich. Do it right once and you wont have to worry about it again. Many like the #1 runner on the exhaust manifold.

The turbo, itself, is a large heat sinc. Much of the heat energy from the hot, expanding gases, is tranferred into turning the turbine. If you take the readings after the turbo, your readings will be severely misleading. Tap the #1 runner, as close to the head as possible.
