Right now my car is fully stock. Plugs are shyte and need to be replaced so what harm would there be in putting a 2 step colder plug on a stock motor? It is recomended fot high boost and nitrous, wich in the next year or 2 it will be, but for now What affect will it have on stock performance.

just buy the plugs when you need them, there only 12 bucks a pack, no need to worry about what plugs you need 2 years from now. Get 6's.

Yeah if your going to be running stock boost for now, then you might as well go with the 6's. In a year or two you will have to buy new plugs anyway.

You make a good point about the price and what not, but what is the difference in affect of colder plugs? Would 6 work same as 8, and vice versa, or will one work better than thee other?

You want to run as hot a plug in an engine as it will accept.

It has nothing to do with engine temperatures, if that's where you're trying to head.

Plug temperature is almost completely a matter of how long the porcelain nose is from the steel housing of the plug. Longer is hotter. You can see the difference by looking up from the bottom and seeing how far from the bottom of the threads the porcelain swells out to the body.

Look under "fouling" and inside that, "heat range".

I agree with everything except pricing. I get plugs at Advanced Auto for 6 bucks for 4.

Trust me if you run 8s driving around town you WILL foul them often.
