big16g is the turbo i plan to upgrade to but there are so many intercooler out there that are cheap like the one from www.darksideracing.com, and other small manufacturers beside greddy and apexi which are over $1000 bones. do you people know the cfm rate of some of those intercoolers around?

WHAt about the upgraded SMIC from dejoon tool at 405 cfm will hold a big16g

side mount is ok. If the company cant tell you the flow of the IC then I wouldnt bother with them. They should also be able to tell you which one is the best for your application(bar/plate or tube/fin) & core size.

i asked mike from RRE back when i got mine...... he recommended the griffin 20x10 or the one bigger griffin that they sell.... think its 24x11...

i got the 20x10x2.75 with the HKS endtanks welded on. i run 25lbs of boost on the big 16 ported and clipped.. the inlet side of the intercooler will actually burn your hand... the outlet side of the fmic is ice cold!!! i'd say the middle point of hot and cold is somewhere around the first quarter of the fmic.

i just bought mandrel bends from JC whitney and welded them up. and some thick 2.5" straight radiator hose to use as couplings. if you cant weld you could just cut the pipes and then use couplings.... this is what i did on my old setup before i got a welder.
