What's the evoIII wastegate psi set too?

The wastegate opens when the boost controler tells it to, If it is set to 12 psi, your boost controler holds back pressure from the wastegate actuator and slowly bleeds it out so you can run more boost than the wastegaye is actually set for. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is the way i took it.

Well I'm trying to bypass a boost controller and run a hose straight to the wastegate. Thinking about getting a fpt28 with 17 psi wastegate rod for street use. Can always turn up the boost at the track by adding a boost controller.

Does the evoIII turbo have a upgradable wastegate rod to hold more boost?

I'm all about being simple and wanna minimize boost spikes. :dsm:

That is not really a good idea to hook your turbo up that way. If you don't have the money for boost controller you can build one for less than $10 at home depot. Do a search and you'll find people who made their own. Do it the right way not the hacker way.
