I posted a week ago about a 93 with CW. Yep, definitaly CW. Now I've decided to do a 6 bolt stroker. Since my car is 93, (april 92 build) I'm confused as to what I can or can't use from my old motor. I'm assuming that it must be a 93-94 7 bolt. I did a search but all of the threads seem to associate 1g=6 bolt, 2g=7 bolt. How about a 1G that was supposed to have a 6 but had a motor swap to a 7 ? What are the differences between the 93-94 and 95-99 7 bolts. I just bought a 6 bolt block from a 91 and need to know what I'll need, other than flywheel, and oil pan.
Any help would be great.

i dont think there is nothing to modify...it should be a straight foward bolt on....cause on 2gs if your installing a 1g bottom end you have to enlarge the headbolts holes to fit the larger 1g headbolts..
but im sure on your case it should be just take the head off your blown bottom end and place it on the new 6bolt bottome end

oh and you need a new flywheel..one that is a 6bolt:D

You will need to bore out the head bolt holes in your head. All 7 bolt motors use 11mm head bolts, including the 93 and 94 motors. All 6 bolt motors came with 12mm headbolts.

Odd that you have a 7 bolt and it was built April 92, while I have a 6 bolt and it was built in May of 92.

The original motor was a 6 bolt, but the previous owner changed motors after he blew a head gasket and drove around for a week with coolant in his oil.
