A good buy?

OKay to begin with, a guy I know is selling his 97 Gsx with 84k and he sent me an email saying the car has an HK$ t3 turbo, but looking on HK$'s website, I'm unable to find a t3 setup. Is there such a turbo and is it a good one (hp max, flow etc.).

Second, should I buy his car?:

t3 doesn't really tell you much. ask him who makes it, serial numbers, etchings,. most importantly the NAME of the turbo.. if he doesn't know the name [ like a GT or something ] then i dunno what to tell you

Yeah the guy isn't too clear on well....anything he's told me so far. But it is the only gsx I've seen around here for sale in a long long time. Thats whats influencing my decision most. I'll ask him for more detailed specs

if he's local.. go take a look for yourself. if he in fact does have an upgraded turbo you'll be able to see it in no time.. [ should be large ]

if it's one of the turbo kits that includes mani and all that you can easily distinguish those also. if you cant, bring a camera.. take pics.. report back here and the other tuners here will help ya too

*oh yea,
ask him the specs of the fuel mods. i.e., size injectors, pump, tuning device, etc. [ sounds weird that he wouldn't list them, they're too important to miss ] and 15k is too high an asking price IMO
