I have a 98 tsi awd with recently rebuilt tranny and act 2100.

Ok so I was wondering if hitting and holding about 23-25 PSI is safe on my car, these are the mods I have. The mixture has been tuned by a professional using wideband o2 sensor but will go for all wheel dyno pretty soon, I just need to know if the stock motor will take this kind of boost.

Evo 3 Big 16 G
3" turbo back exhaust/o2 housing
hks intake
custom fmic
255 walbro
safc-2
lucas 550cc's
hks bov
boost/egt gauges
turbo xs MBC

please let me know if 23-25 psi with this setup is fine or will i blow sumthing very soon. thanks.
 
550cc/min is not enough for 25psi. Get some 660cc/min or turn it down to 20psi.
 
Thanks for the info, I kinda thought that too, getting 660's is no problem and then getting the shop to tune the car with them is fine but will 23-25 psi with 660's be safe on my motor?
What kind of crank HP are we talking here with 20 PSI and then with 25 PSI...???
 
23-25 PSI would be ok to run at the track, but not all the time on the street. Run 20 on the street and you should be fine.

Also I don't think your 2100 is gonna like 23-25 pounds, next time go for the 2600 :thumb:
 
that's what I thought too, I will run around 20 on the street.
What kind of HP at the crank is 20 psi with the mods I have...approximately? and then with 23?
 
Don't try to guess your horsepower, it's not worth it. You can take it to the track and with your trap speed you can get a good indicator of horsepower. Or just wait until you get to that dyno. If by chance you somehow don't know, a 16g is rated at 350ish crank horsepower(This is on a WELL tuned car with all supporting mods). I have seen quite a few 300+ whp dyno sheets.
 
I just dynoed at 284 whp at 20 psi, i guess its not too bad

the car got tuned too. except once in a while it hits some sort of weird fuel cut or ignition cut when going over 5k rpm in 3rd gear or 4k+ in 4th...but hopefully that will get fixed too.

You should be over 300whp at 20psi. Get those problems fixed and you should make more power. Whats your peak ignition timing at?
 
What about on a big 16g (6bolt engine) wit 510cc injectors, and a JET chip. What can the boost be raised with a turbo back exhaust, intake w/ filter, downpipe, mbc, and boost gauge?

Also how much more can o push it before i need a fuel pump ( iwas thinkin walbro 195lph)
