Thumbs up Dejon Tool Upper "L" & "S" Intercooler Pipes with HKS SSQV BOV

I got mine powder coated in red and the "L" pipe flanged for an HKS Super Sequential (SSQV) blow off valve. Well I have to say the pipes were packaged extremely well when I got them. The turn around time was pretty fast and I recieved the pipes within a week from the day I ordered them.

The build quality of the pipes were very good. They are 2 1/4" in diameter. The free choice of color of the pipes were a nice addition also. However, the paint is easy to scratch so watch out that you dont ding them with your tools while ## installing them.

The install was fairly easy and nothing too difficult. It made installing my HKS SSQV Bov much easier becaue the flange was on the pipe. My only complaint is that the connectors were short. I know everyone has heard about this complaint before, so I will back it up. Though the couplings are short, it is just enough to successfully complete the install. There is really no extra clearance so you must have the pipes and the couplings placed just right or you will get some kind of leak. Which was the problem I ran into. Though it would've been nice if the couplings were a bit longer.

In conclusion I'm very happy with my pipes and recommend them to anybody who wants to use the hks ss bov.

Now on to the pics!

The above picture is ### was supplied in the package.

This is their website for anybody interested.

Sorry for this being so long, hope this review was thorough enough.

right now i have it vented to the atmosphere because I dont have the recirculating kit or making one = http://saadet4.tripod.ca/hksbov.html

but idle is fine and the car seems fine, but yea i know the whole venting to the atmosphere so i dont need another lesson

as for the sound.. it sounds great.. its loud i can tell you that.. i dont know how loud it is compared to your (RFL) Really Fugkin Loud bov. but the hks has a high pitched wistle sound.

As for comparing it to your RFL.. my friend had the same one on his wrx.. and all you could hear was "psssssssssssh" "psssssssssh" like a gush of air.. the hks is a completely different kind of sound.. however on idle if you rev it .. its just a "pssssssh" sound, but once u get going and build up boost.. u hear the distinctive hks super sequential bov sound

as for installing the pipes, it was fairly easy and didn't take that long.. i just had to adjust the couplings because there is just enough to connect the 2 pipes together.. at first i was having major leak but adjusting the couplings so there was enough for each end of the pipe and clamping them down tight fixed the problem (but im sure u heard about people complaining about the dejon tool supplied couplings being too short). other than that everything is good.

the only thing that took long was installing the BOV. dont try to install it unles u have good snap ring pliers, we tried every ghetto way and couldnt so we just ended up buying one.
