Powdercoating an FMIC

Wanted to know if you can powdercoat an FMIC black to keep my car way Low key. If i could powdercoat it black it would blend in with the radiator and be fairly invisible except to the closest inspection. I'm worried about sacrificing performance by doing it because I've never seen anyone else doing it. Just so you know i live in a relatively cool climate doesn't get over 85 almost all year, so ambient heat isn't really a problem.

Powdercoating is not the answer. It will hinder performance of the IC. There is a company that offers a black coating, that actually improves the performance of the IC. I cant remember the exact vendor,but it is somethin like Swayne technologies, or Swaine technologies. I couldnt find it, but I have seen it in a SCC magazine. But do not powdercoat th IC.

Have it anodized, do not powder coat it, you would ruin it if you did.

to anodize an intercooler must cost a fortune. we used to have our shock bodies on our rc cars anodized and it was quite pricey. and that was 10th scale

www.indyracecores.com have excellant FMIC from what alot of people have said. You can buy one of theirs, and have it anodized black for an extra $150.
