any machining work for the oil squirter holes in the bearings or do you just slap em in there lined up with the holes and put the rods on? It won't hurt anything w/o em? I read a thread where the guy couldnt mount wiseco's on 1g rods b/c of floating vs press fit, yet two performance machine shops said it's easy but I'm still concerned with the oil in the cylinders and keeping everything lubed up. Anyone have Wiseco/1g rods? What machining was done? Does anything have to be done with Wiseco/Eagle's as far as holes drilled or anything?

Hi there, we've got a few styles of pistons depending on 1gen/2gen and dish volumes, but in answer to putting our full floating piston on a pressed pin rod-that's easy-just leave the circlips out. The grooves fill with oil and will not present any problems even if the pin isn't perfectly centered in the pin boss. As for squirters etc, don't worry about our piston. We've got forced pin oiling. We've also got a lot of big-hp customers out there running without any squirters at all, so don't feel too bad about whatever you choose to do. A pep-talk that I give quite a few of our customers: 100's of people assemble these engines every day that probably know less than you do and don't run into problems :) --Brian Nutter-Wiseco Piston Co.

a good thing or a bad thing OMG OMG OMG OK I figured as the machine shops said it was no big deal. Thanks Brian!
