what turbo will spool faster and give me the most power. also what turbo will be better for a daily driver to run low 11s to mid 10s

L2r of you have the money. Ball bearing can get a little hard on the pocket book.

Gee. Does this mean you can't just post here, get an answer, and run 10's? Well that just sucks. :) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Listen to these guys. YOU don't jump from a low 15/mid 14 to a 10......

I do not have any experience with a L2R but I am currently running a FP Red in my car. I get 25 psi by 4k, and I do not think the turbo is that laggy. Now I have not run any 10 second timelsips but I am close. Realistically though, for a consistent 10 second car, it's not going to be that " streetable " and if it is, it's only a matter of time before you break something. BTW, I love my Red !! :D

Ha Ha !

My car should run 9's (shoulds). But i never ran a 12's before. LOL!!!
just kidding.

First off your a tool.

But I'm bored so I'm going to answer your quesions.

Q: Which will spool faster?
A: L2R

Q: Which will offer the most power?
A: Red (so far no proof to say the L3R)

Q: What turbo will be better for a daily driver to run low 11s to mid 10s?
A: Quit dreaming.

Not to be a tool, but just look at www.dsmtimes.org Can you tell me how many AGP turbos you see in the 11's? How many FP cars? Enough said....

UM, 25PSI by 4k? Does that seem a bit unrealistic to anyone else? Im not gonna strait up yell BS. Im sure you can see 25psi by 4K. With a 50shot of JUICE maybe. Cmon, who you trying to impress.

" UM, 25PSI by 4k? Does that seem a bit unrealistic to anyone else? Im not gonna strait up yell BS. "

What possible reason would I have to lie about this ? We had a discussion on our local NEDSM board about " bigger turbos " and spool up time. A friend was complaing about his Green. I went out on the highway, with a
passenger on the way to the local track, on two consecutive 5th gear pulls I had 25 psi by 4k. Myself and the passenger verified it. The car has a FP Red with a 7cm housing, stock original short block, mildly ported head, 272's. No NOS !! I think the " key " here is the 7cm housing. If you still don't believe me, well I'm not going to lose any sleep over it....
As for " trying to impress ", half of the guys on this board are running 14 second cars, I don't waste my time with trying to impress people.

That spool time is not unheard of with a Red in a 7cm housing at sea level.

Geezz, who also runs dsmtimes.org? Also, who has been around longer and has more turbos out to run better times and tweak and get most of them out?

l2r will spool the fastest by far. l3r spools 2nd fastest. Red next.

l3r has dynoed very good numbers, but the best track time so far was 11.1 letting off at the 1000ft mark.

So what, because one of their employee's runs the times page they are making numbers up ? What is your point ? FYI, the reason Brian took over that page is because it had not been updated in months !!

Mike and Nick: Continue to make this a FP vs AGP thread (with a bashing of the DSMTimes offshoot) and it will be closed. Brian is not, on purpose, leaving times off the list. All this animousity is uncalled for and childish. Both of you should know better.

harryb: FP has been around far longer than AGP. Does it suprise you more fast times have been run on their turbos? It shouldn't. So stop trying to incite something. Its not appreciated.

In General: 25psi on a Red by 4000 is not unheard of and not uncommon. However a mid 10's daily driver is ridiculous. First of all, if you get your car that fast, why in the hell would you drive it daily. Second, you will spend more time fixing it than driving it so it still won't end up as a daily driver.

Man. Its crazy how you guys bring up these old threads. Anyway, Im the one that made the comment of it being unrealistic for a Red to spool that quickly. But, as you can see, I recanted that statemant after I got all the facts. He has a very well tuned car. And that was done in 5th gear. So that sounds about right. Tev is right though guys. I was just like you guys several months ago. Then I raelized it doesnt matter. Who cares who is running what turbo. We should all just encourage each other on our setups. If you are 150% positive thats omeone is doing something the wrong way, then give your oppinion. But make sure to do it in a nice way. Dont flame, or be an overall D1ck about it. And if someone disagrees, so be it. ontlet it bother you. Just remember: The guy your arguing with right now, could very well be the guy your meeting and paling around with at the next meet:thumb: So lets stay friends guys.
