Which one is proven more effiecient or better that is? AGP Turbos or PTE turbos? This may be a newb question, cuz I rock the small16g and maybe in mid summer be able to upgrade my turbo, so just getting a whole lot of feedback before the final decision.

If i were you i would go with the forced performance they are great guys. I know two guys who are running them and are extremely satisfied with them. There cars are putting 608hp and 480hp to the wheels. There turbos are high quality and they have great customer service.

I can tell you many venders utilize the Turbine housing Castings from Precision Turbo and Engine. Some venders like to support the thrust bearing assembly differently. I believe AGP is one of them. The scope of the remainder of your question. Is not detailed enough to answer more specifically.

AGP's turbos are basically the same as PTE's except for theyre 'tricks' that they wont tell you anything about. Agp in some cases even uses PTE's turbine housings. Pte's cheaper, ive yet to hear anything major about problems with theyre thrust bearings.

I have encountered many failed PTE turbos. They dont seem to like high boost very much......something to the effect of turbine wheels shooting out the housing.

AGP has an incredible track record in regards to quality. They also know what they are talking about, not always the case with the guys at PTE. Dont believe me? Call them and ask what the compressor wheel is in a GT35R...... Why a GT35R compressor wheel, of course:laugh:
I have personally had conversations with them, under cover of interest in a purchase. Im not sure where they get much of thier information. Yet, they have still managed, somehow, to corner the market. They are able to get more Garrett parts than anyone else, throw turbos together at 4 times the rate of any other shop, and sell thier cheap creations very..uh, well, cheap. This forces the decent shops to lower thier prices on quality equipment just to stay in business. This constant price war between vendors will ultimately lead to very poorly built units to supply the growing legions of ignorant consumers, who always ask the question "where can I find the cheapest turbo?"

If you want an inexpensive, mass produced, thrown togethor turbo, go to PTE.

If you want a high quality, expertly & precisely assembled unit, go to AGP..... And DONT ask them for a discount!

 Why are you leaving out the best? Forced Performance.

agp's turbo is identicle to PTE's except for the thrust bearings, wich they wont tell you anything about. that sure makes me want to buy theyre product, theyre like buschur. Who have had these failed PTEs? Friend has had 1 for and ez 9k, and runs at the track 28psi on c16 and 23psi daily driven, hasnt seem ANY sorts of problems. You can say youve seen many failed, ive heard of 3 out of the hundreds they produce. Im sure pte is also selling more turbos than AGP so theyre will be more failures. but ive personally seen a locals AGP rs43 destroy itself after 4k.

You sure about that?My turbine housing looks completely different than the pte. The agp is somewhat squared off and the web section is not removed.

Sorry, no you haven't. I know all the people who have RS43's and none have failed. Pretty sad you have to lie to support your argument.

I believe Forced Performance builds their own PTE based bolt on t3/t4 turbos. In addition to the Green and the Red.

Haha, awesome. OWNED!

agp hands down makes the best kit out there, and for the price its makes it even better.

fp is a great shop aswell, but there stuff is alittle more exspensive.

ams also makes a turbo kit witch is realy nice as well.

these 3 shops i wouldnt think twice about buying anything from them, they are know shops that have proved there self and there shop parts that they work and work well.

almost everyone makes the same turbo but everyone likes to say they make something diffrent to make it that much better, well thats business and thats how you sell things. i just wouldnt buy a straight up pte turbo for the fact of all bad turbos that i have read about.

I chose PTE because of the 12mo, 12,000 mile warranty. I emailed AGP awhile ago, but got no real answer as to warranties.
