1G 1990-1992 1/2 have 4g63 6 bolt, 1G 1992 1/2 to 1994 have 4g63 7 bolt. 2G 1995-present(?) turbo cars have the 7 bolt 4g63 and non-turbo cars have Chrysler 420 engine. On 1992 cars its is hard to tell which you have, check here for answers to most of your questions. http://www.vfaq.com

99.9% of the cars that were retailed, badged, and sold as 92's we produced in 91 and early 92, so they will have the 6-bolt.

I've heard of like... one 92 with a 7-bolt.

I've wondered how you can tell if you have a 6 bolt or 7 bolt besides the oil pan. What if someone had to replace it from road damage? How else could you tell. With all the engine swapping going on how do you know that used car you are buying hasnt been swapped?

ah, sounds too easy to be true...

look in your door, there is a sticker, it will say when it was manufactured......if it says june of 92 or before, then it is a 6 bolt, but if it is anything after june of 92, its a 7 bolt.........10 times easier than draining the oil and pulling the pan
