Exhaust

I purchased my 97 Eclipse GS-T about 4 months ago and am now ready to start my modifications. I have already performed all the "free mods". I was going to start with intake and exhaust. I just ordered the injen intake and am looking at the Thermal R&D Cat-back exhaust. While looking for this exhaust I found a turbo-back exhaust from Extreme Motorsports that is 3in, test pipe, into a Thermal cat-back. Would this be a good by. I have read that a 2.5 from turbo to cat then up to 3 is better? What do you think?

A true 3" from the turbo back is by far the best for spool-up......guys have seen their turbo spool 1000RPM sooner with full 3", if u plan to go heavy on the modding go full 3", but if ur sticking around Stage 1 mods ( http://www.dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/2gturbo/stage1power.php ), then you can go with a 2.5"....good luck
