ok i have a 3 inch exhaust an apex n1 muffler ccr top an bottom intercooler pipes dejoun tools intake tube a hacked intake can walboro 255 fuel pump an thats about it right now ....am i safe to add a maft without some kind of afc ?....at what point do you need to get an afc? ....thanks for all of anyone help......o also what can i hope to gain hp wise with a maft conversion ....thanks

You can add a maft and leave all the dials zeroed out and nothing should change I believe. I don't know, I don't have one...

You don't need an afc with a maft.

Some power can be seen by leaning out the ultra-rich stock maps.

Dont use the MAF-T for fine tuning. It doesnt have the ability to do it like the AFC does.
You can adjust larger amounts with it to get you into the ballpark. So its good to have the MAF-T and then do fine adjustments with the S-AFC.

Get an S-AFC when you upgrade your injectors and also when you get a PL.

If you have more money then get the S-AFC right now then and also PL so you can start tuning your car and get some practice.

v2 will be out soon which will be basically as fine tuning as the afc. The other option would be to use an afpr to fine tune.
