I know i will need a AFPR so 1st thing is, where to get the best one for my money. I have seen the one at fullthrottle. Does this one need a gauge too.

Also, i've been reading the forums and every post i read seems different. i'm hearing to set it at 43, 38, 36, 35.

What pressure should i set it at and leave it at.

I'm looking for a regulator that is idiot proof and doesn't require mods to my stock 1g fuel rail. Direct Bolt on.

BTW i'm runnin a WB255, GM MAF/MAFT, AFC, 680cc's, AGP .50 trim full garret kit, FMIC, etc.

So, what's the best regulator, and do i need to buy fittings/gauge for it, Where to by it and is it easy to bolt on, and what psi to set it at for a 1G w/ my mods.

Thanks

I got the one from full throttle.Their 1g and 2 g look the same.I was going to get the 1g one from charged air but heard some had problems leaking where the return line went in.Full throttle design is different .
The full throttle is bolt on but the flange sticks out too far and had to break the plastic hold downs on inner two spark plugs on the coilpack.
And even still the one spark plug wire closest to the afpr is not the best fit now.I was thinking to maybe dremel the thing for extra clearance.

I am planning on magnus intake manifold though so will be moving the coil packs anyway and then shouldn't matter and the igntion wire is on there now so not a big deal. The piece looks trick.I bought a b and m fuel pressure gauge and it fits in the full throttle afpr perfectly and works great.

No other complaints the afpr is easy to set and was pretty close factory.
I used teflon on the fittings. It came with no instructions at all.Factory pressure is 38psi line off on the 1g.Lower than the 2 gs.

I had to wait several weeks for my full throttle one. There is some speculation and not sure if charged air is even in business anymore or is reliable.Heard bad bad things about them.Be warned.Full throttle was slow to get the reg but they are reliable.

sweet, so i need the regulator from full throttle, and a gauge seperate, such as the bm. What about the fittings? do they come with the regulator to make it a direct bolt up affair?

I don't have a problem trimming some off the coil pack, i have a dremel and can do that easily.

do u have a pick of your engine bay with the regulator installed u can post up?

thanks man, and thanks too for the post on my tuning thread.

Full throttle didn't sell the b and m gauge .I got it from somewhere forget where now..rre mabye..ordereds so many parts lately forget what came from where.

The b and m had the fittings to go directly ino the fulll throttle afpr.
You could also mount the fuel pressure gauge off fuel filter if you want.I just thought it was handy being off the afpr when you set things.

The afpr comes with all screws and fittings to hook bolt on the rail and then you simply hook up vac line and fuel return line to the afpr. Its super simple job. There is o ring in the afpr.

I don't have a digital camera been meaning to get one.It looks nice.I didn't even have to dremel the ignition wiring hold downs on the coil bracket.Just took a screwdriver and tapped it and broke them off with that. They are just plastic.Dremel would likely work fine too and not sure if machining the afpr with dremel is the answer to the one wire being close.Stock wires or another type might fit a bit better .I have the accel wires on my car.Only the wire closest to the afpr is close and like I said it still does go on though.

So anyway thats it.The reg looks factory and seems to work fine. You also need to buy a very small allen key to fit in the reg. They really should supply one with it .And teflon tape is good idea on the fittings.

To show how easy this stuff was my buddy taking our time and being anal installed 4 new FIC 650 injectors, the afpr and b and m fuel pressure guage and new supra tt pump all in 2 and half hours.

It all went super easy.Cake..

1G 38 psi with vac hose off
2G 43 psi with vac hose off
Get the fullthrottle one.
