you dont replace it..you cut it of so that it doesnt stick so long down the tube....then the airstream wont be disturbed and you get a better flow down the tube.thats pretty much it.You can replace it too with a tube of metal or other material if you wnt to keep the stock part intact.

Does it really make that big of a differance? I am thinking about doing it tomorrow if I have the time..

TurboXS sells a hose adapter that replaces the stock dump tube perfectly. That is what I am using right now. Hard to see in the pic with the cap on, though. It's at the bottom/right hand corner of the picture.
