I just installed my joe p manual boost controller and im having some slight hesitation if i set the boost too high. I dont think its fuel cut based on how people describe it. It feel like a slight misfire or something when im at full boost. At about 14lbs it doesnt happen everytime i boost. At 15, it happens more often and everytime i boost. At 16 it feels more like fuel cut because the car really misses and stutters.

My question is, whats causing this. Is fuel cut an on or off thing. Or are there levels of it, cause it doesnt feel like my engine is shutting down rapid fire. It's just repeated subtle hesition when at full boost. Do I need new spark plugs and wires? The spark plugs are fairly new but the wires might be very old.

any help would be appriciated

mods : uicp, k&n, removed silencer and lower honeycomb in MAF, joe p manual boost controller.

That's not fuel cut. It could be plugs or wires or wrong plug gap. It also sounds like your car is running really lean. Get some fuel mods like a pump or do the pump rewire mod. Until then turn down the boost to 13 psi.

I had that same problem, a set of NGK BPR7ES plugs should fix it, and either rewire your fuel pump or get a bigger one. The 190 lph is more than enough pump for 90% of the people out there. Another thing to look into is a new set of plug wires to go with your new plugs.

kinda off topic but how much HP or quarter mile times would you be looking at running 15psi with the following mods...

K&N no air can
free mods
Accel 8mm wires
NGK plugs
2.5 stainless steel Downpipe with exhaust cut out
MBC
255 walbro
2.5 inch intercooler piping
02 housing
EVO III manifold or ported 2g manifold
boost gauge
egt gauge
air/fuel

i also heard that the stock intercooler can cool up to 17psi i duno if that is true and after that it pure hot air....
and would i need some sort of fuel control @15 psi right away or that can wait till i have some more $$ thanks guys
