What has to be changed? I have an A/T turbo eclipse with a 13g(i think)its a td04. Now to go to a 14 b or 16 g or so on, are the oil and coolant lines different, someone said the manifold has to be changed but i dont see why, i thought its just lines, can you tell me, and is it worth going from a 13g to 14b or just go for a 16g. Thanks. I know there has to be fuel and so on for a bigger turbo, but im talking about just the bolting on part. Thanks again

Its 13B TD04. To go from 13B to 14B Is kinda dumb. If you goto 16G you can use your manifold and everything else. It all bolts right on.

No. It would help if you got a new one with a big ( go with a big.... its better and meaner ). If your on a budget buy a Supra Sidemount for 100-250 ( pends on where can find one and who is selling what for how much ) and it will be fine for awhile. If you have a lil cash to throw around get a HRC side mount. If you can just splurge money away.... get a HRC Front mount. New will have to worry about an intercooler after that.

then i dont understand why there are companies that sell 200 dollar install kits for 1g automatic cars and 2g cars, they say the 5 spd cars are different and to swap a 16g to a auto car you need a manifold. I guess ill just find out for sure when i get a turbo.

I did this at the beginning of the summer. I got my SBR 16g along with a ported 1g manifold, oil feel lines and gaskets. In addition to a larger fuel pump, you should think about upgrading to MT injectors. It is a small jump, 390cc to 450cc, but it will help to feed your new turbo. Also of course some fuel control (afc) will help with tuning. THe reason to upgrade manifolds is because your 13g has a 5cm exhaust housing and your new 16g will have a 7cm. Also, your old exh mani probably has cracks in it from age and might do with a replacement (mine did at 96k miles). you should order the new exh mani gasket, exh mani to turbo gasket, and new turbo to o2 gasket while your in there. As for oil and coolant lines, if you are investing the $$$ into a new turbo, it only makes sense to spend a little more on new oil and coolant lines. I think I spent $90 total on parts to change every single line, washer gasket etc. peace of mind is great. People have used the stock smic wit hthe 16g successfully, so its not mandatory to upgrade. if you are on a budget, the supra smic or even a starion fmic would do well. it is an AWESOME upgrade for us a/t guys. at the track I can run 21psi and spin thru 1st and 2nd gears (fwd) on my nitto 555r's, so the power is there. Bottom line, save up a bit more and do the swap right and do it once. Just my $.02
