I need to mount an external wastegate. I want to know if it is a good or bad idea to weld Stainless Steel Pipe to my stock exhaust manifold?

You can however it takes much skill to weld to cast. What is it that your trying to do?

I need to mount an external wastegate. I planned on welding a S.S 90 degree bend in the collector of the exhaust manifold.

it can be done but i wouldnt suggest it unless you really know what your doing & have the propper wire/rod
