I searched on Bushur and every review of their catbacks was for the 3" variety which is loud. Anybody with firsthand knowledge? I'm thinking that even the 2.5" exhaust would be a little loud since it has a straight thru muffler and no resonators. I've researched about every quiet catback there is for a 2G GSX. The Apexi World Sport is discontinued and the new WS II will not be available for the GSX. Same situation for Greddy SP/SP2. The RSR Ex-Mag is permanently backordered. Anyone else have any thoughts??

i've got a BR 3" and it is loud. I have a 2.5" exhaust as well (not sure of brand but it has a hanabe muffler) and it's not a whole lot more quiet. the 2.5" muffler allows me to insert a silencer which restricts flow to approx 1.75" or so and this really quiets it down.

why would you not want to be loud though? i got a straight through 3 inch RNR setup with a bullet muffler. you can hear me coming down the block =P

I am lucky enough to drive through queens, ny where i got a ticket for having a "too loud" exhaust, for which i had to go to court twice and waste a lot of my time and lost wages.

i would go with a 3" anyway. i like the apexi n1/gt myself. can't remember which was the quietest out of all of the exausts though. do a search and you will find it.

my friend has a 2g with full 3" thermal exhaust

its very quiet

I've ridden in a 1G with the 3" Thermal exhaust. Deep, aggressive, loud sound. No thanks. Great for the track. Not driving into my neighborhood or commuting to work.

My Buschuer 2.5" turbo-back is very mild around town and has a nice grumble. At WOT it's loud.

If I were to buy an exhaust for another DSM later on, it will be a Buschur with the Dynomax muffler like I have.
