Ill try to make this short and sweet. I picked up this 95 tsi about a year ago. Drove the car on the trailer and brought it home. Pulled the motor and trans. Rebuilt the motor and threw the trans back in.

The car supposedly had an IPT built trans with a Translab shift kit and an IPT high stall converter. Once I got the car running again I tried to move it and it was stuck in limp mode. Figured out the issue and everything shifted and ran smooth. The car sat again for a couple months as I swapped out the 16g for a HX35 setup and speed density.

So today I get everything hooked up with SD and start the car. Car starts right up and idles good. So I figure I'm going to take it for a drive and do some logs. Put the car in drive and it bucks and acts like its locked up. The RPMs drop and and it acts like its under a serious load. This happens in reverse or any forward gear. Ill start the car and revs fine, put it I gear and revs drop then stalls.

Fluid looks good (btw it was an external cooler). Any ideas? I'm thinking I might be pulling the tranny but I'd like to see what else it can be.

Thanks
Nate

Actually come to find out my front pump is messed up. I pulled the lines going to the cooler and no pressure at all.

Solution
If this problem has came to a resolution would you mind sharing what went into fixing it? Was the pump the problem after all or was something else causing the low pressure? I just bought a flipper exhibiting the same symptoms. How much were repair costs?
