I am in the process of converting my 91 galant auto gsx into a turbo auto. I have found some drivetrain comments locally and need some help to confirm what I have found so far.

First, transfer case, looks different to me from the output end. I have not found any pictures of auto dsm t-cases that look like this.

Next is the rear end, part number j1g with 3.307 at the end. From my research i found it to be a 3 bolt LSD auto rear.

Last is the trans, part numbers on it w4a33k1up61 and ca1572.

Now the weird thing is, he claims these to be from a 93 or 94 talon with 92k original miles. I know thats not the case for the rear because it's a 3 bolt. 93-94's came with 4 bolt rears. Even weirder is that the wiring and TCU he has are from a 93-94 because the TCU is a two plug harness. I know 90-91 and maybe 92, I don't know to sure, came with 3 plug TCU'S.

My question is simple, can someone help me identify these with the pictures and part numbers Ive given. I have searched for a few hours with not a lot of progress.

It all appears to have come from a late 92-94 car..I can't verify the rear end though....The harness and plug ends are the same as my 93.....I also own a 91 awd trans and know the visual differences...

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I have identified the trans to be out of a 1993 talon.

The rear end is definitely a 3 bolt from a 90-91 or early 92.

The transfer case is a 23 spline, but I don't know from what year. It looks a bit awkward to me because it seems to be missing the back end cover for the yoke.

That cover gets loose and moves...Sounds like bells jingling :)

It does not look like a M/T transfer case at all. Mine does not have the three top holes that close to each other

Is that the Auto shifter in the background of the trans? it looks like a modifed M/T shfiter

dont all the auto x-fer cases have 6 mounting bolts? i only see 5 there.

Yeah, 6th mounting point not in pic. But it is there.

And thanks, GDNF2ET, It looks like the back cover was removed.

Also, the manual shifter in the background is from another car.

Thanks for all the help guys!
