I've searched a bit and couldnt find the exact answer I'm looking for. So here goes......

Im getting an auto 97 gsx with 146k, and building the motor. My basic setup will be 9.0-1, kelford 272s, scm5031, full e85, 30-35psi. I was wondering what modifications I would need to do to the transmission to withhold the numbers I will be putting down, as well as what I would need to do if I plan on getting a bigger turbo in the future. I dont want to build the transmission if it is not necessary, but from what I've looked into, it seems a shift kit and end clutch would hold just fine until I am making serious power.

I was also wanting some opinions on a re-stall. I am not sure what aspects to look at when deciding where to get it stalled to. Im also wondering how well they are in a daily driver.

I've also heard of "increasing line pressure". I honestly know nothing about automatics, and would like someone to please explain this to me, as well as what it does for the transmission, and how I would go about doing it if it is a good idea.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Any input? These questions are pretty much going to make or break if I buy the car or not.

I have a 95 auto. I'm currently in the process of getting a rebuilt trans. Basically with that kind of mileage, your are going to want to have yours rebuilt. I high-stall TC is good but not needed. They are very streetable from what I have heard. However, on my stock TC I was able to build 20psi on my 18g at the line. As far as mods, go to roadsurge.com and check out the manual shift box. It allows you to manually shift the car and it shifts at full line pressure. The shifts are basically instant.

I would recommend IPT Transmission as a place to find A/T performance parts, or for the whole A/T rebuild/replacement. These guys are excellent Supporting Vendors on DSMtuners. I installed a complete set-up from them when my high mileage A/T went sloppy. These guys are genuinely caring about making your A/T work properly after adding more power/torque. I’m a novice, and I chose not to rebuild it myself. I had my A/T shipped to them. However, their website sells DIY parts. Contact them for more information.
