Ok, so what kind of fluid is everyone using in there Auto trannys, right now my car has 94k miles on it, i bought it with 70k and i want to change the fluid/filter. Sometimes the tranny slips and doesnt catch right away. Also, will a Translab shift kit, reworked valve bodies, SS break lines and a larger IPT tranny cooler be good for street/seldom track car be fine as far as tranny upgrades? I was thinking about getting a higher stall TQ converter from IPT but isnt the stock stall on these somewhere in the 3-3200 rpm range? If anyone has any other opinions on tranny upgrades you are more than welcome to share. Thanks, Jeff

Yea, the stock true stall is around ther but its stall is arounf 1000 something. If you get a 3500 converter your true stall will be around 4000 something. I use mobil synthetic trans fluid with the lubeguard. ANd i have full race rebuild, 3500 hi stall, shift kit, etc. and I would definatley recommend them. If you like doing things yourself, do the shift kit and end clutches from IPT, very simple, just keep everything sterile and take your time and follow the instructions. When does it slip? This will tell us what clutches are screwy. If its in the lower gears.... you might as well rebuild, the clutches are inside the trans. But if its the higher gear then a end clutch kit is a great the to try.

Gosh, I wonder what it might say on the site the sponsor of this forum has linked, right above your question.
I'm sure no one has ever asked about this before.
