ok heres the deal, i installed a B16g on my 97 GS-T, and it worked great, felt all the power and all. now under normal driving the tranny works, but when i floor it and the boost starts the hit, it sounds like the tranny just dosent want to catch for somereason. i know the turbo isent to big, b/c people put bigger ones on LOL, but someone was telling that its just a vacume problem and there not enough vacume going to the tranny to ingage it. any help would be great. hopefully just a hose or something

Did you upgrade your transmission cooler?

Slipping is never a good thing. :notgood:

our transmissions are computer controled. they stopped using vacuum controlled transmissions a long time ago LOL

ya he was an old timer that told me that LOL. anyway i still have the same cooler on the car, and its not like slipping, like in and out, just under full power. the tranny was rebuilt like a year ago

Could be worn clutches, solenoids, or maybe a bad motor mount. Id first check and see all the motor mounts are fine, sometimes this can cause things unwanted in automatic transmission's. After, check your fluid, if its brownish or burnt, you could have worn clutches (goto ipttrans.com for new ones) Good fluid is pinkish. Or, solenoids could be bad and not working properly. These are only a few things. You have to try things and see what works. Let me know if you need any more help.

well i know that my top motor mount is bad, the one near the cams, and thats being changed now while the timing is getting done. and the fuild is good b/c i just changed it and put that block bottle in from IPT, still was doing it after.

Did this start happening before or after the fluid change? And if before, has it gotten worse? Check your Clutches just for the hell of it while your at it.

it happened before thats why i changed the fluid and put in the black bottle, hoping it would fix it. hasent gotten any worse, still the same

Well, new fluid is NOT going to make it better. Period. If anything, it will make it worse. Check your clutches yet?

havent checked it yet, cars in the shop, but when i get it back i'll check and write back
