2G tranny into 1G

What's involved in putting a 2G A/T into a '91? More than just having a 1G flywheel? The 2G tranny is stronger isn't it? I'm planning on installing an end clutch kit and shift kit from IPT before i install it but I can't afford a torque converter just yet. How much of a difference will it make not having one and how hard is it to install it after the tranny's on the car?
