is there anyway that someone could take a pic of how the driverside axle attaches to the block Haveing a hard time visualizing it ans I looked through my manuals and cant find it. It for a 95 GSX. oh I am talking about the center bearing that i on the axle itself. its an auto also

thanks
Chris:confused:
dont know if this makes a differacne but its a 1g into a 2g swaped motor.

It should be held on with two or three bolts. Are you wanting to change the bearing? Or are you wanting to change the outer cv axle?

Let us know

heres the thing I am looking to assemble it because I bought the car with out a motor and now that I am putting it back together I need to see what it looks like. and the way it sits right now it looks like it might not be on right because it sits a little to far out from the trans. I realy just need a pic of that general area and maybe what parts hold it on. It bolts right to the block right with two bolts thats what I have gathered from manuals and what not correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Chris

is there a bracket or something of the sort that attaches to those bolt holes or no. If not I am afraid I might have a little problem then. as I dont think that it will line up right.WTF .Its a simple 1g into 2g swap it wouldnt matter if it was awd or fwd would it?

Thanks great pics anyone have pics of it all assembled

No it shouldn't matter, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe all the blocks are casted the same. It should fit just fine, and yes there is a bracket w/bearing on the drive shaft that bolts it to the back of the block.

If you look at the bottom picture, under the left whole there is damage to the oil pan. That is where the bracket spun around and banged off the oil pan when the bolts broke. That should give u a good idea of where the bracket actually is.

Yes there is a bracket that NEEDS to be there in order for the carrier bearing to mate to the bracket/block. I believe the bracket is used for holding the air conditioning cylinder (unsure because I have the ac removed). When reinstalling my motor I removed the bracket as well thinking I didn't need it, because I wasn't running air conditioning, I was mistaken. I'll try and get a picture of it to post.

This is the best picture I could find. I think this should help, when I did my swap I reused the bracket from my 2g, so I believe either year will work.
