2G Automatic tranny-stuck at a high gear what to do?

my automatic tranny on my 96 tsi is stuck at a high gear-i can change gears r-n-d-but not 1 or 2 any clue what wrong plz help thnx

your trans in in "fail-safe" mode there is a big problem with it!
If you have a scan tool you can pull the codes and start to diagnose the problem.

Has anyone tampered with the wirring to the trans? like the pulse generators?

my wires hooked up too my deck were all spliced and shit-
