Like it says... is the translab shift kit really that good?

how hard is it to put in? i hate tranny's ! I dont know if i would be putting it in myself...

what exactly will it do?

Looks like just some little springs and ball bearings to me ! :boring:

Would it be better to get that or the Clutch ends for the same price?

Thanks in Advance Guys :thumb:

The install can be difficult, and there's more than just little balls and springs... ;)
You should do both the end clutch and shift kit at the same time, it'll only help in the long run...

hahahaha i have installed 3 translab kits on 3 differant valve bodies .. and its not just springs and bearings. if you are not good at extremely complex overwhelming mechanical objects then forget it. i just installed one for Brownba14, and i think he will agree its no cake walk. Dean Masons instructions are absolutely horrifying. i honestly dont know if i would recommend one tho, after every shit kit install i have done the car is not the same after. and yes, the kits are installed 100% correct. the most common problem i see is sometimes the cars will not shift from 2nd to 3rd. you have to pull over and turn off the car and restart it.

WTF... i wont be gettin that then!

what can i get to help my tranny? it sucks and its brand new !

no more then 300$ on the tranny...
ohh ... well i dont know, i can install the shift kit with my eyes closed now after doing it so many times, but i just dont trust it. i hae had to many problems with them. but the kit does work, your car will shift harder. but like i said, i have had problems with transmissions after installing them. im ripping my valve body apart tomorrow to check the shift kit that in it right now actually, so if you want i can take pics and post them and show you what you need to do to install it

Yea please take pics so i know how hard this is gon be... if i even do it now.

I have installed over 100 of these shift kits with not one problem. I'm sure that anyone who has had their car to my shop, got a complete transmission from me, or purchased a valve body from me will agree.

That being said, please note that the kit is an upgrade- not a fix for a failing transmission.

If anyone is worried about the complexity of the install, perhaps they should consider buying our complete valve body with the kit already installed.
