i need help im abut to lose my mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 98 gs auto the other day i was pressure washing the engine....the oil cap came off big mess...well i get all that done start my car up and go to drive off and the damn thing wont shift...so now its in limp mode...my qustion is....can preasure washing eff anything up could i of grounded something out that shouldnt of been and is there anything i can do to fix it...thank you

You pressure washed your engine bay...not cool..
I would suggest you should look at all the connections and check all the powre levels with a voltmeter..i mean water in the engine bay is one thing....pressure washing it is another..

I suggest not starting the car and getting a little bit of heat to it, via hair dryer etc, to dry out all your connections. Last thing you'd want to do now is to short a wet contact out and fry circuits. Remember, when washing engines it's supposed to be just gentle hose pressure, and most sensors covered...

Oh, and I better add...a little bit of heat means no open flame, like a butane torch or flame thrower...
