I'm seriously thinking of buying a 97-99 gs-t A/T because I'm dumping my '91 TSI A/T (motor and other parts are shot). Is this a nice upgrade with its 25 HP advantage, stiffer chasis, ?improved brakes?, ?improved rear suspension?, and ?nimbler handling?
Will I not be disapointed by this swich from my 1g? I've had and loved driving my mostly stock 1g for 8 years now and was thinking I would find the 2g even more enjoyable to drive for the reasons I listed above. I'm not rich or anything so I would plan on only getting a dp, high-flow cat, K+n, and boost to 12-1/2lbs so I shouldn't have to worry about things breaking from the very modest boost increase.
Any thoughts on this matter? Will this be a nice upgrade over my '91 model?
Oh yea, I know the ?t25? doesn't spool-up as quick as the 13g but does it spool faster than the 14b?

*edit* BTW, My '91 chirps the wheels during 1st to 2nd shifts at wot (even with new rubber).
This is with factory stock trans and no trans mods -- will this be the case with the 2g trans as well? I hope so -)
