I ran into somebody over the weekend who bought an IPT billet 9 1/2" converter. Once again I have to cause controversy. Not on purpose, but I want to know the truth. And please if you don't have one and you are from NJ do not reply unless you have the facts. The billet IPT looks 100% identical to my PI-Precision Industry converter. Does PI make the IPT converter? I'm talking about the billet 9 1/2" one, NOT the stock regutted ones. And Transdude I want to hear it from you not your boy 98Talontsi.

how much did this cost you....im in the market of buyin one but didn't know which one and what stall speed to put it at

sorry to go off topic

I can understand wanting to know the truth, but why don't you just call IPT and ask? It's sure a lot faster than waiting for someone to reply. Do you think they're going to lie to you? Why is it you think you'd get the real answer by asking here? It's almost as if you're trying to dig up dirt on them. What is it exactly you're trying to accomplish here?

I'm beginning to get the feeling there are some hidden motivations here...

There is no hidden motivations here. This question has been asked on their own personal forum by someone else along with other questions and other questions were answered, but this specific question was avoided. I actually know the truth to this question, but instead of saying it bluntly I wanted them to actually come out and tell people about it. It all started by the other thread that you are aware of. I pointed out a few things that they were doing to mislead customers and he came back with some rude remarks calling me out as if I was some little kid who did not know what I was talking about. I made sure to write the question in a way where I was not vender bashing as I do not want to get banned from this site. I think people have the right to know what they are buying. If they can get on here and post such great thngs about their place I figure I have the right to give a little criticism. They specifically posted in this forum that all their converters are in house made, so why is this a bad question to ask? It's legitimate the way I see it. I specifically stated they have the most advanced stuff available for the market currently. I never bashed them. The previous thread I admit got out of hand. I tried to stop, but then someone would call me out again and I had to reply. After seeing what you wrote yesterday in that thread I decided not to post a reply and leave it at that. It's not like I am a company trying to compete with them or anything like that. I am not selling anything. When I first hopped on this AT forum all it was was a place to advertise for IPT. And I was just giving a little criticism and pointed out a few things that was misleading or not true. Am I wrong to point stuff out? I did it without insulting anybody and then Transdude and his buddies all started insulting me like I did not know what I was talking about. At that point I admit it got out of hand. I just think people have the right to know what they are buying especially when the items are very expensive. I'll stop if you think that I am doing something wrong.

No bashing or mocking intended here...I'm going to be blunt.
If you know, why ask? Also, that's a big statement to make that you know the truth...do you have to proof to present?

If you already know the answer to the question you're asking, then why call the vendor out in public? Did you ask IPT this question directly? And if not, then how exactly do you know the answer already? It looks to me and a few others as if you're only trying to discredit IPT. These are some of your posts in the other thread - it's no wonder John doesn't feel like addressing your accusations anymore...

Transdude who says there are several people out there with IPT trannies with big turbos and driving them on the street is not true or misleading
How many are out there exactly then - and where did you get your info? How would he not know better than you?
I am sure the IPT kit is probably the best available in the market, but it's not bulletproof
What is the horsepower limit then? At what point do they start breaking? How much R&D have you done to prove this theory?
98TalonTSi acts like IPT pays you for all the posts you write. IPT owes you a turbo upgrade to prove their tranny for all the compliments you write. But seriously, make some more power before you claim it to be the holy grail.
This IS flamebait. What proof do you have that this user is being compensated for saying good things about the parts he bought from IPT?
And yes I know it's factual when I can say if your an auto DSM guy running 11's or faster or 500+ HP at the wheels people in the auto community will know who you are....Those are facts until you can name a single person to disprove me.
That's not factual - it's an assumption. The only factual part about it, is that YOU don't know of anyone. Even if there's a good chance that the person would be well known, you are spreading rumors and calling them facts. Why is it John's responsibility to prove you wrong? And how exactly is he supposed to get this evidence? Call every customer in his database to see what they're running?

So, even though you think you're doing everyone a favor by trying to keep them informed, it looks more like you're trying to make IPT out as misleading and calling John a liar without even asking him your questions directly. You're making some serious accusations here dude. I'm sorry, but until you call him and ask him directly, I won't allow you to walk the fine line of vendor bashing on our site. I wouldn't allow any vendor to go through this, no matter if they were a sponsor on our site or not. Quit trying to start arguments. If you want a direct answer to a question, go to the source next time.
