Hey guys, I just replaced the tranny in my tsi awd (original was doing nothing whatsoever)
I put the replacement in (its "supposedly" rebuilt)
Everything seems to work ok, except it has NO overdrive. Driving around with o/d off, everything is fine. Engage the o/d button, car shifts fine up until the point its supposed to shift into o/d (light cruising with hardly any throttle application) , and then it just acts like it disengages entirely, spins up like its in neutral, there is no shift shock or anything else, its just like it plain lets go.
Turn the o/d off button back on, everything is fine, it shifts back into and engages 3rd gear.
What im trying to find out basically, is if there is anything electrical that could cause it to do this, or is it almost a 100% chance that the end clutch is fried. Right now, the vehicle speed sensor is disconnected (it broke when installing the new tranny) but everything else is hooked up. Any suggestions?
If it is the end clutch, im going to be ordering one from ipt as well as the shift kit, but id like to check out any other possibilities before I tear into the tranny again.

i've got the same problem with od. i did check the end clutches and they are fried so i've got one ordered from you transdude, i hope it's shipped out. i sent you a money order from va.,I put a reman tcu in my car two weeks ago from a electronics place on the net. i won't mention a name yet!! it shifted very hard for two weeks then went into limp mode again. i can shift the car with my back yard shift control, it does fine. any sugestions???? i can read ohmn meters shows 31 pulse generators,speed sensors right!!! they check fine. PLEASE HELP. nothing in pan!!!
