Hey whats up, I just recently had a RS60 from agp put on my car (60-1) and wow this thing is quick only boostin 17psi cause i got a stock motor. But yes it does lag it wont hit full boost until about 4000rpm. My car has had the tranny totoally built by level 10 which they did everything. end clutches, shift kit, bulletproofed the tranny and restalled the converter. Before i had the 60-1 I had a 16g and when i power brake i could launch at 3k and with at least 9-10psi of boost. But after puttin the 60-1 on it will only build up to 2500 rpms and wont even launch with any boost. So im guessin i need a better converter where i can launch at 4k for me to launch with boost. I was at the IPT site but im not sure which one would give me at least a 4k launch. Anyone know of a torque converter that will let me stall at 4k and launch with some boost for my laggy ass turbo :)

i have a 60-1 on my car also and i am using a precision industies 3500+ converter. i can build (tested to so far) 14psi on the brake before they want hold anymore and i leave at 3900rpm

Well look at it this way...you can drive that car around like an N/A 4-banger and save shitloads on gas. My T28 spools so quick I get very shitty fuel economy just in stop/go traffic. I'm actually considering an upgrade to a 50trim just to be able to save gas rather than for the additional power. I love fast spools, I just hate lousy fuel economy.

With a 60-1 you guys both need around 4000-4200 RPM stall. The only way to get that with that big of a turbo is by using a 9 1/2" diameter converter.

I hear precision has the best converters out there you tell them how much you wanna stall at and they gurantee it or something. Also in 2 years if you want them to change the stall you can send it back to them and do it for free im not sure if it was free but ive heard alot of good things from them nonetheless. I currently have a level 10 restalled converter but it sucks ass. I hope that they actually built my tranny when I sent it to them  or Im gonna have problems when i crank that boost.

hah trust me with that much power under you its impossible to never push that gas..I say that everytime "I better save gas so i wont spool" never works out if you got a open lane theres no stoppin that feeling ;)

I'm gonna be back in Delray for most of July and am looking to attend one of your meets down there. As for the 50-trim, well it's going to happen but not for 6 months. I just separated the military and am finally finishing my degree before I get another job in December. Once the $$$ is coming back in I'm going all out! Everything on my wishlist is going on...Garry better make some room in his garage! :thumb:
