Extreme PSI SS Oil Return. Not what I expected. But customer service is pro.

Well I was looking for an SS braided return line. I found this item at extreme PSI. It was a no weld, bolt on return line for a MHI Turbo/DSM Oil pan.

Well this thing is not what I expected. I looked at the picture. O cool bolt 15min job. Nope. It is going to require a trip to Lowe's For new cutting discs for my dremel, and a new screw for the end of it as I lost that. Damn tiny ass screw.

As you can see, this is pre-assembled kit. Gaskets are even pictured.

Now.. It does say on the website, gaskets are not included. However it doesn't state that assembly is required.

Edit:

I have talked to customer service and they have changed the website to reflect the fact these things do not come pre-assembled.

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Oil Return Line Kit (Stainless Steel Braided) : -10AN *SALE*

What I received... was a Shitty SS Hose. It isn't even flexible enough to prevent crushing when making the arc from the turbo drain, to the oil pan It was also frayed on both ends. And a bag of fittings.

I was seriously disappointed with you ExtremePSI.

I've Attached pics of what you actually get, and the hose both before, and after I tried installing a fitting onto it. It was already frayed when I got. So you will need a few tools to put this together and it is not the product I expected.

The biggest bonus for this item is the exact fit flanges for the turbo and oil pan. You will be hard pressed to find these flanges in an eBay kit.

Overall I would rate this as a 6/10 for the value. If it were a bit cheaper for the hassle it would be definitely be worth it.

Next time I think I will just be going the Russell Classic kit from STM.

They probably sent you about 12" of SS line, which is more than enough to do the drain line for 2 cars. I've installed two of the ExtremePSI drain lines on my car, and both times, had no problem with it. They show you what it looks like assembled, but yes, since every car is different and people have different turbo mounting locations and oil pan setups, they give you the extra so you can make your own custom drain line.

As for the fraying, when you cut the line, you're supposed to wrap the line with electrical tape before cutting, preferably with a cutting tool like a Dremel.

You are also supplied with a 90* fitting to give you the angle you need to prevent the line from crushing, although depending on your turbo center section height and oil pan location, you may need a 45* or another 90* to make the correct bends.

They sent you exactly what you needed. It's up to you to make it work for your car.

I could have gotten all of it except the flanges for about 25$-30$ locally. I didnt pay for a shitty piece of tube, and a baggie of fittings bolts and shit.

I payed for a god damned oil drain line. I didnt receive an oil drain line, I received a box full of crap.

Here you go...

TURBO OIL RETURN DRAIN+36" FEED FITTING LINE GT35/GT45 - eBay (item 170590492608 end time Feb-12-11 15:55:58 PST)

For 35% Of what I payed extreme psi for my feed line and return line. I payed 80 dollars for this piece of shit drain line because I wanted one that was ready to be damned bolted the #### on my engine.

You couldn't tell from the picture that it was going to be a length of SS line and some AN fittings and flanges?

From the item description: "Braided oil return line comes in 12" length. If you need a longer line, please call to place your order."

If you could have gotten the parts on your own for cheaper, then you should have. Instead, stop complaining about a very reputable vendor who sent you a product that works for people who bother to actually put it together correctly and install it on their car.
