Thumbs down JSP Carbonfiber Hoods...

Im not too much into doing anything to the exterior to my DSM. I have a 98 gsx thats lowered with wheels and a Carbonfiber hood. Although I am now on my 4th hood... Being a person who has sold and used different carbonfiber hoods I feel bad not telling people about JSP. I can sum it up in one word... JUNK! I had two VIS hoods that fit great, and looked amazing, but due to the hood being gel coated I cracked 2 of them. In search of a non-gel coated hood, I looked into JSP. ( I have sold many of thier spoilers and they have been great. ) So I oredered one for $450. After putting it on I was very disapointed. It did not fit, the hood didnt latch, and I could fit my hand inbetween the fender and the hood line. After raising the fenders and the hood latch the hood fit. A few weeks later the hood looked all cloudy! as if you took sand paper and scuffed up the finish of the hood. I worked at a Keysone store and I spoke to the JSP rep himself. I told him my problem and that I was not happy with the product. He said that he would help me and that I might have just gotten a "lemon". He told me that he would sell me a new hood for only $300. I agreed and tried it once more. The hood came and looked nice. The bill on the other hand was 300+150 for shipping! COSTING ME THE SAME AS THE 1ST ONE!!!!! on top of that, its been about a month and already im having sun-spots on areas of the hood and it did not fit at all. Anyone looking for a carbonfiber hood Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy JSP, i dont belive in bad-mouthing a company but im a strong believer in not letting people rip you off for junk products. Carbonfiber is an expencive buy, and I will never buy a JSP carbonfiber product again!
