My stock oil cap was leaking oil all over my valve cap so I figured I'd replace it. I wanted something with style so after a bit of searching I came across Bonehead Performance's oil caps with a custom DSM logo on it.
They had tons of colors to choose from and after a bit of thinking where I wanted to go with my engine bay, I chose a gloss black. The powdercoat is superb. No flaws in it whatsoever.
The mirror face is clean and the frosted DSM logo on the mirror is professionally done. True to their word, the oil cap is not used. When I tried to twist it on, I had a bit of difficulty. The metal bar was not shaped yet to the valve cover opening. After a brief struggle, I got it on nice and tight. I drove it hard all week going to school and back. I constantly checked it everyday and it hasn't leaked at all.
For $30, it's pretty heavy for an oil cap. More than double the OEM's price. But $16 for an oil cap that matches the engine, and adds a bit of style, while doing its job great? I say it's worth it.
