Simplified 1g knock sensor change.

I read the other article here and while it sounds fine it seems overly complicated .
Here is all I did .Reach under the drivers side of engine and put 15/16 stubby wrench on the knock sensor.Didn't use any pb blaster or anthing.Loosen with wrench and turned out with hand.Tightened it back in by hand and then a bit tigher with open end wrench.Didn't bother to torque it in.Guess you need an open socket 02 style to do that.I put a bit of teflon tape on the threads.Done.Easy as pie.Not sure why you would want to go from the passenger side.I had some problem getting old connector off the intake bracket.I left it there just cut old wire and connected up my new knock and just zip tied for now. Will be changin intake anyway.Knock seems greatly reduced but phantom off idle knock is still there sometimes.Betting on lifters for that.
