My interior consists of that gray cloth material on the seats and the door panels. It looks kinda weird, with some sort of strange design on it and I'm not feeling it at all. I was wondering if anyone has totally changed their interior?

I want to switch out the dash, steering wheel.. Basically anything gray and make it black. Also, I want to buy some leather rear seats to replace the others.

Anyone have an idea how much all of this will cost? Replace every piece in the interior w/ black pieces.

You can either spray paint it or, go to the dealer and get interior pieces from a 99 they came black, stock. For prices. Krylon fusion spray paint is 4$ a bottle and new interior, call the dealer

i am attempting to do the same as you

in my opinion, krylon fusion isnt so great as it was hyped up to be IMO.
I painted my rear panels with fusion, and it chips alot right where my seatbelt is. Everytime i get out of my car i toss my seatbelt back and it chips a little bit more.
I am probably going to paint my whole interior black with just krylon gloss black. When preped right, it will look good and wont chip.
make sure you sand, prime, paint, and seal.

If you are going to use krylon fusion make sure you put lots of thin coats on it. I'm talkin like 10 coats or something. I'm doing the same thing, and have not had any chipping yet.

i got a whole new interior for..........$200. i had the orginal stock gray, then painted it black. i was disappointed (used krylon). so, i had to fix my mistake and get a whole new interior. so $200 is good, and out of that i got power windows and lock (mine were manual).

p.s. the interior came out of a parted out 97 eclipse.

Where did you go to get a new black interior for $200? I want a black interior.
I talked to a local custom shop about reupholstering my back seat with fabric to match the Sparco seats I want, and they said it would just be cheap like $100 or so.

That's cheap to get the rear seats upholstered. I also wanted to get a black material to match some Sparco seats I plan on getting in the future. And I also want to replace that ugly fabric thing on the door panels also.

I used dupli-color on my interior. I had all grey, now its black and red.

The only chipping i have is on the door, where the corners contact on the dash, and in the rear of the door. Besides that, just a few scuffs from kicking it when i get out.

What you wanna do is take a lot of time and sand all the plastic down. I started with 320 grit, and sanded until it felt smooth to the touch. I washed it off with a damp rag, so it picked up all the little particles. I then sanded using 400 grit, following the same process, and i finished up using a 600 or something grit. After washing it off, i rubbed it down with rubbing alcohol in order to take off any oil from my fingers and any little last particles. I then sprayed about 8 very thing layers, with about 15-20 minutes in between each layer. With the red i couldnt even see the colors until the 5th or so layer, but then it started to come alive. After i painted the last layer i let it sit another 15-20 minutes, and applied 4-5 layers of clear coat.

As for the vinyl and cloth... DUpli-color makes a vinyl and cloth paint. All i did on my vinyl was clean i off with rubbing alcohol, and spray it the same was i did with the plastic, and only applied 2 light coats of clearcoat for protectant. AS for painting the cloth.. gets ome cloth shampoo, and make sure you clean it VERY well. The better you clean it, the better the paint will stick.

Good luck and post some pics when your done.
