I'm not a fan of CF on the outside of the car except for MAYBE the hood on a black top spyder but I had an idea of getting the black trim pieces that go over/around the fog lights done in carbon fiber. I think it would be subtle but original. Anyone ever seen it done? or for sale?

if you could find them, theyd looks great painted a flat black.

I laminated a set for my buddies GSX. Came out looking really nice and was VERY subtle. Yeh to some it is rice...but his car is FAR from it and has the power to back any ricey things up (but his car doesn't look that way anyhow). I am pretty sure it is running 12.5's...cause of the carbon fiber though!:D :p

I've already contacted carbon works and Jon just needs more detailed pics of the actual piece so he doesn't miss quote me on the price. I'm thinking of just buying a bulk order and reselling them because so far no one makes them.

btw, I don't see how it's really that ricey considering it's just going from black to a glossier different shade of black but that's just me. CF hoods are way more ricey to me becuase they completly offset the color of the car. just a though...

painting wouldnt ruin the point.

i dont understand unpainted carbon fiber. thats like leaving the paint off the walls in your house to show what material theyre made of. ...maybe i dont understand.

it's painted though....painted clear!!:p Heck, alot of folks leave the walls in their homes white and alot of people with brick or stone houses don't paint them either. I have yet to drive by a beautiful stone country home and go "OMG, they left the damn stones showing!" :D
I am just poking fun...don't delve into too much! :)

If this can continue to be a discusion of CF parts fabrication, we're fine.

It WILL NOT be a rice definition discourse.

The CLOSED finger is directly adjacent the EDIT one. Josef has spoken.

Well, painting over CF would be like painting over LV leather. Or like having a gold necklace and painting it black to match your black shirt. It's the material your showing off.:thumb:
About the cf fog covers, I think it'd be awesome. I actually thought about this before, and even had that cf-like vinyl (that they make the shift boots out of) wrapped around them too see how they look.

Yes Leo did an excellent job on the fog light covers and they are lasting well (even in this bad weather) I would get pics but my ex-fiance was the one who took the digicam so I am trying to find a cam to use. BUT they are extremely nice and it is not rice at all. Most people just look at the front end and realize 'hey those aren't stock' Anyway much props to Leo!!!
